Korean Election Day for the people abroad

The day that All Koreans are waiting is coming now and for the people who are outside Korea came about a week early.
Interesting thing today after I entered the place for voting was that I have one paper for stamping cells for presi. candidates and one envelope for putting the paper in.
I thought voting for abroad was counted each place that was votted, but it wasn't and these ballots are going to be sent to Korea. In the 9th of May, all ballots are gathered in asigned place and will be opened together.

After the vote, I stoped by the liberty park. Sunny day made the pictures of Central Railroad of New Jersey(CNRNJ), Manhattan, Ellise island, Statue of Liberty so good. This time I walked along the Hudson though, next time I'll take a ferry and go to Ellis Island Museum of Immigration!

One side of Ellise island belonged to NYC, the other side to NJ.

Why the US have a lot of cherry blossom?

Why the US have a lot of cherry blossom?
Japan’s attack on the base marked the beginning of the Russo-Japanese War (1904–5), which ended with the signing of the Treaty of Portsmouth in September 1905. The US government engineered that treaty, so Mizuno had a strong sense of gratitude toward the United States.
...
He[mayor of Tokyo, Ozaki Yukio (1858–1954, Tokyo mayor 1903–12] promptly secured a budget to prepare and ship 2,000 cherry saplings to Washington DC. The shipment left in January 1910, but insect pests and disease afflicted most of the saplings during the long sea voyage.
...
Tokyo’s second cherry-tree shipment, this one comprising 3,020 saplings of 12 varieties, left the port of Yokohama in February 1912. The careful preparations and precautions proved effective, and the shipment arrived safe and sound. Neither insects nor disease had damaged a single sapling. (from http://www.nippon.com/en/features/c02002/)
The cherry flowers in the US is the symbol of alliance between Japan and the US. Then, it brings one question what the symbol of that between Korea and the US is? I wonder the answer of the right side in Korea...

Anyway, below are pics from friends

* Pics from Kyoto

I wonder where the place has this kind of the beautiful cherry blossom. It dosen't look like the railroad near the univeristy of Rithumei(?) or northeastern side of Kyoto, having series of tiny stations. Anyway so good.

[Pic #1] Negri-Nepote Native Grassland Preserve

[Negri-Nepote Native Grassland Preserve]

 [Mar.30.2017]
[Sep. 2016]

This is the first trial shot by new camera and the latter one is the pic shot last year. The day I took pics was gloomy and the time needs to get accustomed to use the one though, the second shot looks so good that the phone seems superb than the new camera. It, however, is due to the manipulation. Anyway, I'll do photo as much as I have a time, which most of the place that I take a shot would be that I'll be going to miss after leaving the US. This is the one of those, Negri-Nepote Native Grassland Preserve, even I don't have idea why the name is so long, which the first place I went after bought my car because of the closeness to my house, this made me surprised that such peaceful plain is very near me, and one day I could meet the flock of deers. Now I knew the NJ is not simply calm, peaceful, and natural, nevertheless, it is good enough to like the green nature reflecting the place that I'll go back.

I heard the some story that the owner of the farm around the preserve is the descendant of the great landowner who had a lot of lands and farms around here. To imagine the family have had the land of their ancestor over 1~2 century is not easy for me who lived the place of which have changed almost everything one or two decades.
